This week the kids will be learning about the time when God helped David defeat Goliath. They will learn that when we trust in God, we can be brave! The focus verse will be 1 Samuel 17:37 - Then David said, “The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”
Within the The Jesus Story Book Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones, the kids will be learning from pages 116-135. Some extension activities include: creating a song of praise like David did within Psalms, sorting large and small objects to discuss what a giant is, making a slingshot with objects found around the house.
