Come wounded, come empty to filled. Wherever you are, just come. This study invites you to come and learn God's truth with fellow women.
As women, we too often seek worth, joy and pleasure in things that do not last. The Bible teaches us that true lasting joy comes not from material comforts or from the praises of others, but from knowing Jesus. There is no doubt that Paul, the author of Philippians, knew the secret to joyful living. While chained day and night to a Roman soldier he emphatically proclaimed, "Whatever I gain, I count as loss because of the surpassing worth of Jesus Christ." My dear friend, do you know your worth? Do you know where to discover hope and joy? My plea to you my friends is that you echo the words of famous hymn writer, Charlotte Elliot, "Just as I am... I come." |
