TUESDAY EVENING GROUPS
We are two groups of 10-15 women who meet on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm in the comfort of our homes. Many of us are working professionals who enjoy taking a break from busy schedules to connect, encourage and support each other, pray for one another and learn more about the Bible together. We enjoy social gatherings and participating in volunteer service projects in the community.

Armour of God by Priscilla Shirer
All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you're tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you. The Enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. The Armor of God, more than merely a biblical description of the believer's inventory, is an action plan for putting it on and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory. After the new year we will begin our second study, which we will decide on as a group. (For example, last year we studied 'Seamless: Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story' by Angie Smith.) |

The Simplest Way to Change the World by Dustin Willis and Brandon Clements
Deep down, every Christian wants to make a difference. But for many of us, the years come and go and we never do. The good news is: change can be as simple as opening your front door. The Simplest Way to Change the World is about biblical hospitality and its power for the gospel. Since people will sooner enter a living room than a church, hospitality is a natural and effective way to build relationships for Christ. Hospitality is a beautiful legacy of the church, and a great way to make disciples. As you open your life up to others, you share in the very character of God and experience His joy. And you get to witness lives change—including your own. |
The 7 Experiment: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess by Jen Hatmaker
Do you feel trapped in the machine of excess? Jen Hatmaker was. Her friends were. And some might say that our culture is. Jen once considered herself unmotivated by the lure of prosperity, but upon being called “rich” by a child who was living in poverty, evidence to the contrary mounted, and a social experiment turned spiritual journey was born. This study will lead you through this same experiment, at whatever level you choose, in seven key areas: food, clothes, spending, media, possessions, waste, and stress. What’s the payoff for living such a deeply reduced life? It’s the discovery of a greatly increased God―a call toward Christ-like simplicity and generosity that transcends a social experiment to become a radically better existence. |
Ruth and Esther
We will also read from the bible the books of Ruth and Esther. As we read Ruth, we will discuss how God redeemed the pain of a pair of refugees, a foreign widow and her bitter mother-in-law. As we study Esther, we will discuss and celebrate how God saved his people through an unlikely queen. |
