2010-2011 Study
This year we’re going to kick off the 2010-2011 year of Side By Side with
a six weeks study of The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian.
We hope this study will encourage all of us to develop a deeper
relationship with our husbands by praying for them. While everyone in
Side By Side will begin the year studying the same book, you will be
connected to a small group of women starting right away in September.
This will be your group for the whole year.

Small Group Options
(These studies will begin in October. Please list
your choice on your registration form. Books can be previewed at the
SBS Registration Picnic.)
A. Amazing Collection: The Poetic Books; Amazing Collection: The Major Prophets
The Amazing Collection is a workbook series focusing on main themes
of scripture. This year the Amazing Collection groups will be reading
through the poetic books and the major prophets. The companion
workbook includes a study section for each book of the Bible in that set.
The study section includes an outline of the teaching, maps and charts,
questions for group discussion or personal meditation, and five daily
lessons. The daily lessons can be done in two ways:
Quick Read is for busy women with only twenty minutes a day and
Complete Read is for the student with more time for study.
B. Calm My Anxious Heart by Linda Dillow
Women worry a lot. We fret about our children, our friends, our careers,
our spouses---the list goes on and on! If you're tired of being held
hostage to a million "what ifs," Dillow's 12-week Bible study will provide
the help you need to exchange your anxieties for godly peace and
contentment.
AND
The Peacemaker: A Biblical Guide to Resolving Personal Conflict by Ken
Sande
Experience the healing power of biblical peacemaking as you learn to
apply scriptural principles to conflict in the world around you. Parse the
elements of arguments and begin to see that there's not really any
difference that can't be overcome with the right perspective. It's
practical guidance for resolving all types of conflict and maintaining
healthy and Godly relationships.
C. Living Beyond Yourself: The Fruits of the Spirit by Beth Moore
Through this study you'll come to appreciate the supernatural aspects of
the fruit and that you cannot grow, learn, or produce the fruit on your
own. Beth challenges you to develop the fruit by maintaining an
intimate relationship with the Spirit of God. This Learner Guide is a
ten-week study with personal interactive studies for five days a week. At
the end of each week's study is a Listening Guide for the group video
sessions.
D. Lord, Only You Can Change Me by Kay Arthur
Can God Really Change You from the Inside Out? Yes! Who are
you...on the inside? Are you growing into the image of Christ? Or are
you far from being all you want to be in the Lord? If you've ever
wondered how you can truly change, now there's hope. Jesus invites you
to stop trying to develop godliness through your own efforts and to
start relying on the indwelling Holy Spirit. This study will walk you
through the Beatitudes of Christ, from the Sermon on the Mount.
E. That the World May Know: The Life & Ministry of the Messiah; That the World May Know: The Death and Resurrection of the Messiah
Faith Lessons by Ray Vander Laan illuminate the historical,
geographical, and cultural context of the sacred Scriptures. The Life &
Ministry of the Messiah Discovery Guide focuses on Scripture
explored in the DVD and includes sidebars, maps, photos, charts, and
questions that facilitate discussion at group sessions. Each week
includes 5 personal Bible studies between each session that help you
deepen your learning experience and application.
